When I Was a Student

I used to study at Smallville Junior High. I used to go there by bicycle when the weather was fine. When it rained, I went by bus. We had Maths, English, History and Geography. We also used to learn Latin and Greek. I didn't mind Latin, but I hated Greek. We didn't have computers because they didn't exist at that time. I didn't go to an all boys' school. My sister too didn't go to an all girls' school. We prefer to go to a coeducational school, which was 3 kilometers away from our home. Coeducational school had better teachers and pupils.

I remember I used to wear an uniform. Boys wore a white shirt, a tie, a dark jacket and black shoes. Girls used to wear a white blouse and a long dark dress. The men teachers used to wear a suit and a tie. Women teachers wore a dress or a skirt. Today, teachers and students wear tennis shoes, jeans and a T-shirt. When you look inside the class, it is difficult to tell who are the teacher and who are the students.
