STATUE OF LIBERTY

It stands on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. The famous statue was a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States
. The statue was offered on Oct. 28, 1886. French School children gathered about 1 million francs. Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel and Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi designed and built this huge statue, which is about 46 meters tall and weighs 225 tons. Tourists climb the stairs inside the statue to its crown, where they can watch and take photos from high. It is surely more attractive than any other place.
