Charles Dickens was born in 1812. Very early, he
enjoyed reading a lot, walking and going to the theatre.


His father was very nice but he always had very serious
problems with money. So, in 1824, Charles has to stop going to school and he
worked in a factory for 3 months. He has never forgotten this terrible
experience. But soon, his father's situation became better and Charles went
back to school. He left school at the age of 15 and worked as a journalist.


He got married in 1836. During the following 20 years,
he wrote 20 famous books, such as: "David Copperfield" and "Oliver
Twist". He died rich and famous in 1870.
