Elephants


Elephants have lived on this planet for five million years. Scientists
have found their bones in many places, from Asia to North of America. Till
now, elephants have lived in different kinds of environments, including very
dry areas in Niger, grasslands in East Africa and forests in West Africa.


African elephants are in danger of extinction. Hunters have already
killed hundreds of thousands of elephants for the ivory, so several countries
have protected elephants in national parks.
