OK. I have another quiz if Mr. Solinet doesn't oppose that. Consider the following : 5 + 5 + 5 = 550 Question : Add a "line" to this addition so as it becomes correct. Where are you our witties?

Now, by using the numbers 1 , 7, 8 and 9 (one time for each) , and by using ( + , - , * and / ) (as much as you want) try to find the biggest result you can find.
For instance, 1 + 7 + 8 + 9 = 25.....of course, you can find more than this!
Give it a try

Sorry, dear Red1.I think we have to use only the numbers given.Well,in this case , we'll have the following:178*9=1532.So if we add 1 then 5 then 3 then 2,we'll get 11.Then we 1 to 1 we'll have 02(which means Chlef).

- Mr. Boucherit, I think Mr. RED1 sadi that we use 1 and 7 and 8 and 9 with the addition, substraction , multiplication and division AS MUCH AS WE CAN. It's what I have understood from his post.
After I had logged in this morning, I showed the quiz to my colleague (maths teacher) and he supplied me with this answer : (1+7)*8*9 = 576Waiting for Mr. RED's opinion

The vertical match on the left moves and becomes parallel to the horizontal one.The mach which forms the foot of the figure is moved and serves as a foot for the left vertical match on the right. Now the rose is free.I offer it to my dear colleagues.
