Simon & Garfunkel are an American music duo consisting of singer-songwriter Paul Simon and singer Art Garfunkel. They formed the group Tom & Jerry in 1957 and had their first success with the minor hit "Hey, Schoolgirl". As Simon & Garfunkel, the duo rose to fame in 1965, largely on the strength of the hit single "The Sound of Silence". Their music was featured in the landmark film The Graduate (1967), propelling them further into the public consciousness.

Bridge Over Troubled Water P. Simon, 1969
When you're weary, feeling small When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all I'm on your side When times get rough And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down
When you're down and out When you're on the street When evening falls so hard I will comfort you I'll take your part When darkness comes And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down
Sail on silver girl Sail on by Your time has come to shine All your dreams are on their way See how they shine When you need a friend I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind Like a bridge over troubled water I will ease your mind
El Condor Pasa (If I Could) (3:09) J. Milchberg/D. A. Robles, 1933; English lyric P. Simon, 1970
I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Away, I'd rather sail away Like a swan that's here and gone A man gets tired out to the ground He gives the world Its saddest sound Its saddest sound
I'd rather be a forest than a street Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would
Enjoy
